cutting board-Shou sugi ban
Shou sugi ban
97x19cm
We burn our cutting boards using the Japanese technique Shou sugi ban. We burn the surface of the wood, then sand it down and oil it. This prevents bacteria and fungi from adhering to it.
We love the food, the good things that come with it
And we missed personal cutting boards that were both functional.. practical, but most importantly beautiful
Our own cutting boards made of walnut, oak, ash, and olive wood
Jesper shapes and carves them... some are burnt and some are only oiled
A cutting board is so much more
I always fill it with dinner and place it on my dining table... a wonderful cheese and charcuterie display... against the wall, it can transform any kitchen
And what a great gift to give away
